Big State Electrical

Roughly 30 pages built for search ranking. The site ranks for one keyword, two visits a month.

The goal

Two different jobs on two different timelines. The website is a real rebuild, done properly over weeks once you're a client, not a rush job. The paid side can move now: proper landing pages per service instead of one generic page carrying all of them.

What we found

1

30 pages built for SEO ranking. The site ranks for one keyword. Two visits a month.

Ahrefs, checked 17 September 2026: your WordPress site has roughly 30 pages, home, about, contact, and around 20 dedicated service pages across residential, smart home, aircon, commercial and industrial. Across all of it, the site ranks for exactly one keyword in Australia, "home security landsdale", position 5, and pulls 2 organic visits a month total. Checked again against a month-old snapshot, same result, this has been flat for at least a month.

What it costs: You've built the pages a proper SEO strategy would need, but none of them are actually optimised to rank, so the work is sitting there doing nothing.

The fix: Rebuild the technical SEO foundation on the pages that already exist before building anything new.

2

Every ad you've ever run, across six campaign rebuilds, sends the click to the exact same generic page

Pulled directly from your Google Ads account: every single ad group, Downlights, EV Chargers, Split Systems, Switchboards, Emergency Electrician, Renovations, across all six historical campaign builds, points at one page, book.bigstateelectrical.com.au/opt-in-page. Someone clicking an EV charger ad and someone clicking an emergency electrician ad land on the exact same general quote form.

What it costs: That form doesn't even list switchboards, smoke alarms, CCTV or renovations as service options, despite ads running for all of them. You've got GoHighLevel already set up and it's only ever been used as one catch-all page, never a dedicated page per service.

The fix: Build a real, separate landing page for each core service the ads actually promise.

3

$305.22 spent on five generic searches. Zero bookings.

Full account history, pulled 17 September 2026: $94.77 on people who typed just "electrician", $83.48 on "joondalup electrical services", $58.71 on "electricians near me", $41.50 on "emergency electrician", $26.76 on "electricians". All five, zero bookings. Across the account's entire history, 95.3% of every dollar spent produced no recorded conversion.

What it costs: The one thing that did work: someone searching "electrician near me" and actually finding you, three times, for $39.62 total, with one of those turning into a real booking. Specific and local converts. Broad and generic burns money.

The fix: Kill the broad generic terms, put the budget behind the specific local searches that already proved they work.

4

Your Instagram advertises ducted aircon. Your Ads account has never shown up for it once.

Your Instagram bio lists "Split System & Ducted Aircon" as a service. Sitting inside your Google Ads account right now, unused: the keywords "ducted repair", "ducted service", "ducted parts" and "split ducted repairs". Every one has zero impressions, ever.

What it costs: Not one person searching for ducted aircon work in Landsdale, Wanneroo or Madeley has ever seen your business. The keywords were added and then never given a working campaign or budget behind them.

The fix: Build one real campaign around split system and ducted aircon, using the search terms already sitting dormant in the account.

5

Three real service lines. Zero Google ads built for any of them, across six campaign rebuilds.

Your own site lists smart home automation, ethernet/data cabling and CCTV/security installation as real services. None of the campaigns built across this account's history, going back through six separate rebuilds, ever included a keyword for any of them.

What it costs: That's a whole category of higher-value residential jobs, security cameras, home networking, that this account has never once competed for.

The fix: Add a Powerpoints & Smart Home campaign covering CCTV installation, home network cabling and smart home automation.

6

Six campaigns built, six campaigns removed. Never one structure long enough to learn what works.

Full account history: five earlier campaigns built and then removed, spread across $10-40/day budgets, plus the one campaign still standing, currently paused. All-time identifiable spend: $2,314.13 across 499 clicks and 17,149 impressions.

What it costs: Spread across six competing campaigns at $10-40 a day each, that's not enough concentrated spend on any one structure to ever properly learn what actually converts.

The fix: Consolidate into one properly funded structure instead of six competing ones, and verify the conversion tracking before any of it goes live again.

One fix, done for you

Website
Rolled into an ongoing retainer, done week by week: blogs first, then each suburb page one at a time
Landing pages
One dedicated page per service, your existing GoHighLevel booking forms wired straight in so automations don't break
Ad structure
One consolidated campaign per service, not six competing generalist ones
The offer
The offer: One month, free, managing your Google Ads and building real per-service landing pages on GoHighLevel for the gaps above. You only pay your own ad spend, nothing to us. Get real bookings, and we talk about continuing. Don't, and you walk away, no invoice, no hard feelings.

Before you go

Why are you looking at this now?

Your Google Ads account was still linked from when we worked together, and it's been sitting dormant. Thought it was worth a proper look, website and SEO included this time, before anyone forgets it's there.

Does this cost anything?

No. The first month costs you nothing beyond your own ad spend. If it doesn't work out, there's no invoice either way.

What actually happens if I get in touch?

You send through your videos and photos, we build the five landing pages and the campaigns around them, and run it for a month. Then we look at the real numbers together.

Hey Cody,

It's been a while. Last time we spoke you said the website was actually the priority for you over the Ads side, and I don't think we ever got around to it. Went back into everything again this week, Ads, website, the lot.

Your website's a bigger job than a quick fix, around 30 pages and the SEO side of it basically isn't working, one keyword ranking, two visits a month. Rather than dump that on you all at once, I'd rather work through it properly week by week, blogs first, then clean up each suburb page one at a time, folded into an ongoing retainer once we're working together so it's manageable rather than a huge scope.

Where I can move faster is the paid side. Every ad you've ever run points at the same one generic quote page. I'll build you proper landing pages for switchboards, EV chargers, split systems, downlights and smart home, with your existing GoHighLevel booking forms wired straight in so none of your automations break. If you want to add anything on top, text follow-ups, more automations, happy to help with that too.

Same deal as before on this part. One month, no invoice, you only pay your own ad spend. If it books real jobs, we keep going, and that's when the website work folds into the retainer properly.

Send me a message below if you're in.

Thanks,
Chris
